Fatman Barge is Tasmania's only cable-driven vehicular ferry, providing a unique crossing of the Pieman River to Corinna Wilderness Village. Operating daily from 9 am to 7 pm during daylight saving time and 9 am to 5 pm in winter, the barge accommodates vehicles up to 6 tonnes, including cars, 4WDs, and caravans. The crossing takes approximately five minutes, offering a scenic introduction to the remote wilderness of the Tarkine region. No prior booking is required; charges apply per vehicle or pedestrian.
