Lake Gilles Campground

Lake Gilles Conservation Park offers a serene retreat in South Australia's semi-arid mallee landscape. The park features a saline lake encircled by sandy rises, gypsum dunes, and isolated stony hills, creating a tranquil setting for birdwatching. Accessible via the Eyre Highway, the park allows 2WD vehicle access to the lake, with the northern area requiring 4WD. Self-sufficient bush camping is permitted, providing a free and unspoiled camping experience. Please note, the park has no facilities, so visitors should come prepared.
