
Koala Gardens, located at 1709 Wyrallah Rd, Tuckurimba NSW 2480, is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary committed to regenerating native habitats vital for koalas and other vulnerable species. Spanning 5.6 hectares, the property features mature koala food trees and a regenerating rainforest remnant, supporting a colony of eight koalas. Over 3,000 young native trees have been planted or self-sown, enhancing local biodiversity. The sanctuary is home to several threatened species, including wompoo and rose-crowned fruit-doves, little lorikeets, and squirrel gliders. Protected by a Conservation Agreement with the NSW government, Koala Gardens plays a crucial role in wildlife corridors in Tuckurimba.
