Papunya Tula Artists, located at 63 Todd Mall in Alice Springs, is a gallery dedicated to showcasing the rich artistic heritage of the Western Desert. Established in 1972, it is entirely owned and directed by Aboriginal people from the Luritja and Pintupi language groups. The gallery represents over 120 artists, offering a diverse collection of authentic Aboriginal artworks. Visitors can explore a range of paintings, each accompanied by certificates of authenticity and associated stories. The gallery also hosts annual exhibitions, such as the 2024 showcase titled 'Irriṯitja palulanguru kuwarritja - from the past, to today'. Operating hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM; closed on weekends and public holidays.
