Yeagarup Dunes, located within D'Entrecasteaux National Park, is a vast mobile sand dune system rising meters above the surrounding karri forest. These dunes are continually moving inland, encroaching upon forests and wetlands at a rate of approximately 4 meters per year. Visitors can access the dunes via a 10.5-kilometer four-wheel-drive track from Yeagarup Lake, traversing soft sands to reach Yeagarup Beach, ideal for fishing and sightseeing. The area offers opportunities for bushwalking, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, with facilities including picnic areas and toilets. Camping is available at Leaning Marri Campground, and the nearby Yeagarup Hut provides shelter for larger groups. Please note that trailers are not permitted on the dunes due to steep ascents through soft sand.
