Yarrabah Beach, located in the coastal town of Yarrabah, Queensland, offers a serene and picturesque setting for visitors. The beach stretches approximately 3.3 kilometers, facing north, and features a narrow, low-energy high tide strip of sand fronted by tidal flats up to 1.5 kilometers wide. The area is part of the Yarrabah Aboriginal Community, and access is limited, with no formal roads leading directly to the beach. The beach is composed of coarse sand derived from the surrounding granite, and during high wave conditions, small rips, spaced every 100 meters, cut across the bar, producing up to 60 rips along the beach. In places, the beach has eroded back into the overhanging vegetation, causing it to fall on the beach.
