Wyperfeld National Park

Wyperfeld National Park, located in Victoria's semi-arid northwest, is Australia's third-largest national park, covering 357,017 hectares. The park features a chain of lake beds connected by Outlet Creek, the northern extension of the Wimmera River. During rainfall, the landscape transforms as dormant desert plants sprout, carpeting the ground with clusters of flowers. Visitors can enjoy activities such as camping at Wonga Camping Area, hiking the Tyakil Nature Walk, and observing wildlife like kangaroos and emus. The park is accessible via various routes, including the Western Highway at Dimboola through Rainbow to southern Wyperfeld.
