Located at 146 Don Street in Wowan, Queensland, the R.S.S.A.I.L.A. Memorial Hall stands as a testament to the community's resilience and camaraderie. Established on October 26, 1940, the hall was inaugurated with a grand celebration attended by approximately 450 residents from Wowan and surrounding districts. The event featured vibrant decorations, including Union Jacks and Australian flags, creating a festive atmosphere. The hall was constructed to honor all individuals who enlisted from Wowan and the district during the 1914-1918 war, as well as those enlisting during the current conflict at that time. An honor board was planned to be erected within the hall, inscribed with the names of all who served.
