
Wooroonden is a rural locality in Queensland's South Burnett Region, covering approximately 30 square kilometers. As of the 2021 census, it has a population of 54 residents. The area is characterized by its agricultural landscape and proximity to neighboring towns such as Murgon and Kingaroy. Historically, Wooroonden was home to the Wooroonden State School, which operated from 1918 until its closure in 1963. Today, the site of the former school is known as Hughie Campbell Memorial Park.
