Woodford Academy

Woodford Academy, nestled in the Blue Mountains, is the region's oldest colonial building, with a rich history dating back to the 1830s. Originally established as a roadside inn, it has also served as a gentleman's residence, guest house, boarding school, and private residence. Today, it operates as a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into colonial life through its preserved sandstone architecture and historic rooms. Notably, the academy houses a rare 17th-century Dutch Master painting in its collection. Open on the third Saturday of each month, it provides guided tours, a café, and a shop, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts.
