Wombats Rest

Wombats Rest is a tranquil locality in South Australia's Mid Murray region, situated approximately 133 kilometers northeast of Adelaide and 94 kilometers northeast of Mannum. Established on March 27, 2003, it encompasses a residential area primarily used for holiday accommodations, known locally as shack sites. Due to its position within the Murray River's floodplain, development is regulated to minimize flood damage. The area is part of the Mid Murray Council and lies within the federal division of Barker and the state electoral district of Chaffey.
