Windorah Solar Farm

Price on enquiry
Windorah Solar Farm, located in the remote town of Windorah, Queensland, was Australia's first solar power farm, commissioned in 2009. The facility featured five 14-meter diameter solar dishes that tracked the sun to generate electricity, supplying the town's daytime needs and reducing diesel consumption. Over time, the original system faced operational challenges, leading to its decommissioning in 2023. Plans are underway to replace it with a new solar farm and battery storage system, aiming to provide sustainable energy to the community.
