Windeyer is a rural locality in Queensland's Blackall-Tambo Region, covering an area of 2,073.5 square kilometers. The Dawson Developmental Road traverses the area, connecting Windeyer to Mantuan Downs and Tambo. The Great Dividing Range forms the northeastern boundary, with notable peaks including Mount Solitary (593m), Mount Birkhead (626m), Mount Windeyer (611m), and Mount Blunt (555m). The region is primarily used for grazing on native vegetation. As of the 2021 census, Windeyer had a population of 29 residents.
