
Located at 12 Hunter Street in Gunnedah, the Winanga-Li Aboriginal Child and Family Centre offers culturally safe and appropriate education and care services for children aged 0 to 8 and their families. Established in 2013, the centre provides a range of programs working with Aboriginal families in northwest NSW. Operating Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, it offers early childhood education and care services, child and maternal health programs, family support, playgroups, and adult education opportunities. The centre is an accredited provider of out-of-home care, supporting children in foster care to maintain their cultural identity and connection to family. In 2021, it was recognized as the 'Outstanding Organisation' at the HESTA Early Childhood Education & Care Awards.
