Wilson River

The Wilson River, a tributary of Cooper's Creek, winds through the arid landscapes of western Queensland, Australia. Originating in the Grey Range, it meanders northwest, passing through the Noccundra Waterhole near the historic Noccundra Hotel. This waterhole is a favored camping and fishing spot, attracting locals and travelers alike. The river's waters are home to species such as Golden Perch, freshwater Catfish, and Spangled and Silver Perch. During the winter months of May to August, yabbies are abundant, adding to the river's appeal for fishing enthusiasts.
