The grounds host a variety of events, including the annual Bushman's Carnival Campdraft in early May and the Widgee Balladeers & Country Music festival each October. The Bushman's Bar, located within the grounds, serves as the social heart of the community, offering meals and a welcoming atmosphere on Friday and Saturday evenings. The grounds also feature facilities for horse riding, pony club activities, campdrafting, barrel racing, endurance rides, and dog trials, catering to a diverse range of interests. Camping options are available, with powered and unpowered sites suitable for campers, caravans, and motorhomes. Toilet and shower facilities are provided, and pets are welcome on a leash. The Widgee General Store, located across the road, offers additional amenities. The grounds are managed by volunteers from the Widgee District Hall & Recreation Association Inc., ensuring a well-maintained and community-focused environment.
