Spencer Gulf, South

The Whyalla Jetty, a unique circular structure, graces the city's foreshore, offering a distinctive experience for visitors. Spanning approximately 315 meters, including its circumference, the jetty features bespoke lighting along its handrails, creating a captivating ambiance at night. Designed with accessibility in mind, it includes a 45-meter access ramp and six fishing spots tailored for children and individuals with disabilities. Supported by 102 pylons, the jetty is constructed with industrial-strength pre-cast concrete slabs, ensuring durability for at least 80 years. Local GFG Steelworks supplied the steel, with the old jetty's steel recycled back into the furnace.
