Located in Whyalla Stuart, South Australia, the Whyalla Basketball Association (WBA) operates from the air-conditioned Pat Kemp Stadium, a three-court complex with hardwood floors and seating for over 500 spectators. The venue features modern canteen and bar facilities. The WBA comprises six affiliated clubs—Titans, Wildcats, Demons, Bevan, East Whyalla Sharks, and Roopena—offering competitions from Under-10s to Senior A-grade levels, as well as various social grades. The association runs two seasons annually, each approximately 15 weeks long, plus finals, with over 1,100 players participating per season. The "Steelers" represent the WBA in state competitions across multiple age groups and senior teams. Established in 1955, the WBA has a proud history of players making National and South Australian teams, including Olympians Michael Ahmatt and Angela Marino.
