
Established in 1854, White Hills Cemetery in Bendigo, Victoria, is a significant mid-19th-century goldfields cemetery. It features a Chinese section with the largest number of footstones in Victoria and a rare 1870s Chinese Funerary Burner. The cemetery also includes a Victorian-style rotunda built in 1898 and original entrance pillars and gates designed by architect William Charles Vahland in 1881. The grounds are adorned with a variety of native and exotic flora, including conifers and Australian natives like Ironwood and Kurrajong. Listed on the Victorian Heritage Register, the cemetery offers a serene environment for reflection and exploration.
