The Whispering Wall, part of the Barossa Reservoir Reserve, is renowned for its unique acoustic properties. Constructed between 1899 and 1903, the dam's curved wall allows whispers from one side to be clearly heard over 100 meters away. Visitors can test this phenomenon, enjoy scenic views, and learn about the dam's history. The reserve offers free parking, picnic areas, and toilet facilities. Open daily from 8:30 am to 5 pm (standard time) and 8:30 am to 6 pm (daylight saving time), it is closed on Total Fire Ban Days and during operational activities.
