Westray's Grave

Westray's Grave, nestled in Lamington National Park, commemorates James Westray, a Stinson Airliner crash survivor from 1937. The hike to the grave follows the Southern Branch of Christmas Creek, offering a scenic journey through subtropical rainforest. Along the trail, hikers encounter small waterfalls, natural swimming holes, and diverse flora. The path includes creek crossings, rock hopping, and sections with minimal signage, requiring careful navigation. The return trip is approximately 3–4 hours, depending on conditions.
