Western River Camp Site

Nestled on Kangaroo Island's north-western coast, Western River Campground offers a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature. The campground features unpowered sites suitable for tents and camper trailers, with facilities including toilets, picnic shelters, and a barbecue shelter. A footbridge over the river provides access to a secluded white sand beach, ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and fishing. The area is home to abundant wildlife, including the endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo. Access is via a mix of sealed and unsealed roads; however, the steep, winding roads are not recommended for RVs or caravans. Pre-booking is essential due to limited availability.
