The Weipa Aquatic Centre offers a variety of swimming facilities, including an 8-lane, 25-meter pool and a wading pool with beach access and water features for toddlers. A qualified lifeguard is on duty during opening hours. The facilities are also used by the Weipa Junior Swimming Club and Weipa Learn to Swim School. Picnic tables, BBQs, and a large grassed area overlooking Albatross Bay provide a beautiful backdrop to the pool, making it a popular place for children’s birthday parties or gatherings. The facility is open all year round except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Good Friday, and Anzac Day.
