Located approximately 3.5 kilometers south of Mer Island, it is part of the Torres Strait Island Region. The islet is uninhabited, with a land area of 0.1 square kilometers and a coastline of 2.8 kilometers. The surrounding waters are rich in marine life, including fish, turtles, and dugongs. The nearest airport is Murray Island Airport, situated about 4 kilometers northeast of Waua Islet.
