Venue

Waterhouse, TAS

Nestled within the Waterhouse Conservation Area on Tasmania's northeast coast, Waterhouse Point Campground offers a serene coastal retreat. The campground features several fenced sites, some of which may be more suitable for tents due to space constraints. Each site is equipped with 'closed composting system' hybrid toilets; visitors are advised to bring their own toilet paper. Campfires are permitted outside the summer season, provided they are at least three meters from any overhanging vegetation or trees. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed to protect wildlife and other campers. As there is no rubbish collection, all visitors are asked to 'wildlife-proof' their rubbish and remove it upon departure. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with no booking required and no fees applicable. Visitors are encouraged to bring gas stoves or barbecues for cooking. The nearest dump stations are located at Scottsdale, St Helens, George Town, or Bridport.
