Built in 1882 to supply water pressure to Port Augusta West, the Water Tower Lookout offers panoramic views of the town, Spencer Gulf, Flinders Ranges, and the outback. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, visitors can enjoy a picnic area and ample parking. The lookout is pet-friendly; however, it's advisable to confirm pet policies in advance. Access is free, and the site is open 24 hours, allowing for sunrise and sunset visits. The tower is located at Mitchell Terrace, Port Augusta West SA 5700.
