Water tower art - Lake Cargelligo

The Lake Cargelligo Water Tower Mural, painted by Melbourne-based artist Heesco Khosnaran in 2022, vividly portrays the town's rich history and vibrant present. Assisted by Erin Haywood and Damien Mitchell, Heesco transformed the decommissioned water tower into a captivating artwork that attracts visitors worldwide. The mural features native birds, including the Major Mitchell's cockatoo and the rare Red-lored Whistler, a team of bullocks hauling wool bales from 1952, a depiction of Foster Street from the early 1900s, a horse-drawn water cart, and a Douglas DC3 aircraft.
