Nestled in Towarri National Park, Washpools Waterhole is a serene natural rock formation along Middle Brook, just 500 meters upstream from the Washpools picnic area and viewing platform. This inviting spot offers a refreshing dip on warm days, with gentle riffles and shallow pools perfect for relaxation. The surrounding river oak forest and box woodland provide a tranquil setting, where visitors can enjoy picnics and listen to the calls of local birds like the grey fantail, brown-headed honeyeater, and the endangered speckled warbler. Access is via an unsealed road suitable for 2WD vehicles, with parking available at the picnic area. Please note, drinking and cooking water are not available in this area, so it's advisable to bring your own.
