Warrumbungle Dark Sky Park

Warrumbungle National Park, near Coonabarabran in central western New South Wales, is Australia's first Dark Sky Park and the first in the southern hemisphere. Renowned for its crystal-clear night skies, low humidity, and high altitude, it offers exceptional stargazing opportunities. The park features unique volcanic formations, including the Breadknife and Grand High Tops, and is home to over 190 bird species.
