Warrumbungle Community Care - Warrumbungle Shire Community Transport

Warrumbungle Community Care (WCC) offers a range of services to support the frail aged, people with disabilities, and their carers in the Warrumbungle Shire, enabling them to live independently at home. Auspiced by Warrumbungle Shire Council and funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, Transport for NSW, and NSW Health, WCC is an Approved Provider for Home Care Packages. Services include Meals on Wheels, Community Transport, Social Support, Home Maintenance, Respite for Carers, and Home Care Packages. The Community Transport program provides non-emergency transport to local and out-of-town destinations for eligible seniors, pensioners, and those with accessibility needs. The service is volunteer-based, with a fleet of six vehicles, including a wheelchair-accessible bus. WCC's Social Support services offer activities such as monthly luncheons, social groups, and welfare checks to enhance social inclusion and community participation. Home Maintenance services assist with lawn care and minor household tasks to maintain a safe living environment. Respite for Carers provides in-home support, allowing carers to take a break while ensuring the well-being of their loved ones. Home Care Packages enable clients to access personalized care services to support independent living. WCC is committed to providing culturally inclusive services, ensuring accessibility for all individuals, including those from LGBTI and diverse cultural backgrounds. The Coonabarabran office, located at 27/29 John Street, serves Baradine, Binnaway, and surrounding areas. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, closed on public holidays.
