Nestled along the Yarra River in Warrandyte State Park, Pound Bend Reserve offers a serene picnic area amidst towering manna gums. Visitors can explore the interpretive trail to discover the rich history and culture of the Wurundjeri people. A highlight is the Evelyn Tunnel, a historic relic from the gold mining era, where the river flows through a 145-meter-long tunnel. The 2.4 km Pound Bend River Walk provides a gentle upstream journey through riparian forests. Amenities include picnic tables, toilets, and a canoe launch. The park operates from 7 am to 8 pm and is closed on severe weather warning days and during extreme fire danger. Dogs and solid fuel BBQs are not permitted, and camping and fires are prohibited.
