Nestled along a scenic bend of the Loddon River in the Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park, Warburtons Bridge Campground offers a tranquil bush camping experience. The campground features picnic tables, fireplaces, and a toilet, providing essential amenities for campers. It's an excellent base for exploring the diverse mining landscapes of nearby Devils Gully or enjoying the local wildlife and wildflowers, especially in spring. Visitors can fish in the river or launch small boats and canoes when water levels permit. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Camping is free, unpowered, and no bookings are required, with a maximum stay of 42 days. Please camp at least 20 meters from riverbanks and other waterways. As no bins are provided, campers are asked to take their rubbish home for recycling or disposal. Firewood collection is prohibited; visitors should bring their own firewood or use gas camping stoves or barbecues. Fires are permitted only within the provided fireplaces and must adhere to specific safety guidelines. Prospecting is allowed nearby but not within the campground. For safety, check fire danger ratings before visiting, as the park may close on days of Catastrophic Fire Danger.
