Nestled on the shores of Lake Macquarie, Wangi RSL Amateur Sailing Club offers a vibrant community for sailing enthusiasts. The clubhouse, located at 269 Watkins Road, features boat storage, restrooms, showers, and an upstairs hall equipped with a kitchen, tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment, available for hire. The club hosts a variety of sailing events, including weekly races for yachts and multihulls, as well as programs for off-the-beach classes like OK Dinghies, Lasers, NS14s, and Catamarans. Social activities and functions are regularly organized, fostering camaraderie among members. The club's sailing season runs from the first Saturday in September through Easter, with winter sailing for yachts typically commencing in May. Learn-to-sail classes for juniors are held annually, starting in October and running through to Christmas.
