Located just north of Cairns at Wangetti Beach, the Cape York Girl Academy Campus is Australia's first boarding high school designed for young Indigenous mothers and their babies to live and learn together. The academy also supports young women at risk of disengaging from education. Students are guided by qualified, trauma-informed staff, graduating with an education and the confidence to become future leaders in their communities. The campus offers a culturally centered curriculum, allowing continued connections to ancestral language and cultural practices, and uniquely tailored learning pathways toward tertiary education or employment.
