Housed in Wallaroo's first post office building from 1865, the museum showcases the town's rich history, including the copper smelting era (1861-1923), postal and telephone history, and local industry. Notable exhibits feature "George the Giant Squid," a preserved specimen obtained from a whale's stomach in 1980, and the 1910 Wallaroo Waterside Workers Federation banner. Visitors can also explore the 1877 Tipara Reef Lighthouse in Investigator Park. The museum offers self-drive heritage trail maps, guided tours, and group bookings. Open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, except Christmas Day.
