Wallaman Falls, located in Girringun National Park, is Australia's highest permanent single-drop waterfall, plunging 268 meters into a deep gorge. This stunning cascade is part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, renowned for its ancient rainforests and diverse wildlife. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views from the main lookout or embark on the Djyinda Walk, a 3.2 km return trail leading to the base of the falls. The Banggurru Walk offers a shorter 800-meter return journey along Stony Creek, ideal for families. The camping area provides facilities such as wood-fired barbecues, picnic tables, and cold showers, set amidst open woodland adjacent to Stony Creek. Access is via a 52 km drive from Ingham, with the last 19 km on an unsealed road.
