Covering an area of 14.2 km², it is bordered by the Mary River to the west, north, and east. The area is predominantly used for sugarcane cultivation and grazing on native vegetation. As of the latest census, Walkers Point has a population of 75 residents. The nearest primary school is Granville State School in Granville, and the nearest secondary school is Maryborough State High School in Maryborough.
