Walhalla Band Rotunda

Nestled at the confluence of Stringers Creek's Left and Right-Hand Branches, the Walhalla Band Rotunda stands as a testament to the town's rich musical heritage. Constructed in 1896 following a design competition initiated by the Mountaineer Brass Band, this timber rotunda features a domed, iron-roofed cupola atop an elevated octagonal platform. Its ornate design draws on Germanic influences, making it a rare and well-preserved example of late Victorian rotundas in Victoria. The rotunda remains a focal point in Walhalla, reflecting the community's enduring appreciation for music and history.
