
Wairuna Homestead, established in the 1940s by Harold and Norman Johnston, is a heritage-listed property located in Wairuna, Queensland. The homestead comprises a 1940 residence with an attached early kitchen/store, a cottage of early construction, and a three-car garage/workshop. Additional structures include two barracks buildings, an amenities block, butchering hut, machinery shed, wash house/accommodation/generator shed, and remnants of a tank stand and oil shed. The property also features a small cemetery established in 1899, located approximately 500 meters from the homestead. Wairuna Homestead was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 9 August 2013.
