The Waikerie Institute, also known as the Soldiers Memorial Hall, was constructed in 1919 to honor those who served in World War I, with completion in 1928. This historic hall features a spacious stage and wooden flooring, and displays honor rolls commemorating local men who served in conflicts up to 1973. The community continues to utilize the hall for various events, including the annual Waikerie Santa's Cave each December. Adjacent shops have been repurposed; one now houses the Cobweb Art and Crafts store.
