Vacy Hall, a heritage-listed villa at 135 Russell Street, Toowoomba, Queensland, was built in 1899 for Gilbert Gostwyck Cory and his wife Ann Sophy, daughter of pastoralist and politician James Taylor. Designed by architect James Marks and constructed by Alexander Mayes, the residence features an L-shaped plan with a twin hipped corrugated iron roof, encircling verandahs, and decorative brickwork. The interior boasts cedar joinery, ornate plaster mouldings, and parquet floors. Surrounded by over an acre of gardens, Vacy Hall has been refurbished for guest accommodation, offering a unique glimpse into Toowoomba's history.
