Urrbrae Gatehouse

The Urrbrae Gatehouse, a state heritage-listed building constructed around 1883, has been meticulously relocated and rebuilt on Claremont Avenue at the University of Adelaide’s Waite Campus. This historic structure now features a modern extension, designed by Dash Architects, seamlessly blending contemporary elements with its original architecture. The interior has been restored to serve as a volunteer centre, supporting staff and volunteers who contribute to the Waite Campus, Urrbrae House, and the Waite Arboretum. This project ensures the gatehouse's preservation and continued community use for generations to come.
