Established in 1975, Townsville Dancewear Centre offers a comprehensive selection of ballet, modern/jazz, tap, and Highland dancewear. Founded by Robyn and Doug Gilchrist, the centre began with a mobile shop, ensuring dancers across North Queensland had access to quality gear. Today, it provides professional fittings for dance shoes, custom-made leotards, tights, tutus, and costuming accessories. Located adjacent to the Croft-Gilchrist School of Dancing in Pimlico, the centre serves as a one-stop destination for dancers of all ages, supporting their passion and performance needs.
