Tom Groggin Horse Camp

Set along the upper Murray River in Kosciuszko National Park, Tom Groggin Horse Camp offers a serene base for equestrian adventures. Located between Khancoban and Thredbo, it provides ample parking for horse floats and trucks, paddocks, and water for horses. The area features fire rings for evening meals; visitors should bring their own firewood. To secure horses, especially during wild horse visits at night, it's advisable to use personal equipment. As there are no bins, all rubbish must be taken away. Bookings are required and can be made online or by contacting the National Parks Contact Centre. For safety, consider filling out a trip intention form and hiring a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) from local visitor centres.
