Nestled in the Selwyn area of Kosciuszko National Park, Three Mile Dam Campground offers a serene lakeside setting ideal for fishing, bushwalking, and cross-country skiing. Established during the Kiandra gold-mining era, the dam provided water for sluicing operations via race lines to Kiandra (New Chum Hill). Its eastern side was part of the Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Scheme. The campground features unmarked, unpowered sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, and caravans, surrounded by grassy sub-alpine woodlands and snow gums. Amenities include picnic tables, wood barbecues (firewood not supplied), and non-flush toilets. Access is via Link Road, approximately 5.8 km from the Kiandra-Cabramurra Road turn-off. The campground is open from the October long weekend to the June long weekend; during winter months, access is limited to walkers, with parking available at the Goldseekers track carpark on Link Road. A $6 booking fee applies, with a maximum stay of 14 days at the campground and 21 days within the national park.
