The Narrows

The Narrows is a coastal locality in Queensland's Gladstone Region, bordered by the Coral Sea to the north and east. It encompasses the narrow channel separating the mainland from Curtis Island, known as The Narrows. The area features diverse landscapes, including wetlands, mangroves, and protected zones like Rundle Range National Park and Rundle State Forest. Historically, it was used for cattle crossings at Ramsay Crossing, a ford approximately 500 meters wide. Today, The Narrows offers opportunities for recreational activities such as fishing and boating.
