The Historic Morgan Morgue, established in 1886, served as a temporary resting place for accident victims along the Murray River before their burial. Located off Burra Road, it is believed that the first person interred was a Royal Navy Surveyor named Harvey, who tragically drowned the day after assisting in the site's preparation. This site is part of the Morgan Heritage Walk, which includes 41 historical buildings and monuments, offering a glimpse into the town's rich past.
