The Falls

Located in the southern section of Mullion Range State Conservation Area, The Falls near Summer Hill Creek offer a picturesque waterfall and a serene swimming hole. To reach the falls, park at the Central Mines trail carpark on Ophir Road, then follow the Central Mines trail for approximately 800 meters. The trail is unmarked, so a topographic map, compass, or GPS may be necessary. The falls are especially striking when water levels are high following heavy rainfall. Summer Hill Creek is also a good spot for off-bank fishing. Nearby, the Fourth Crossing picnic area provides a great base for exploring gold mining history on walking tracks, swimming, or trout fishing.
