Nestled within the Cape ecovillage in Cape Paterson, Victoria, The Cape Community Farm is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to sustainable food production and community engagement. Established in 2016, the farm features approximately 350 Foodcube Wicking beds, offering both commercial gardening spaces and rentable plots for members to cultivate their own produce. The farm also hosts a weekly market every Saturday, providing fresh, seasonal produce to the local community. Designed with water efficiency and drought resilience in mind, the farm includes rainwater harvesting systems, a nursery for plant propagation, and facilities for beekeeping. Community involvement is encouraged through volunteering opportunities, workshops, and social events, fostering a strong sense of connection among members. Looking ahead, the farm plans to expand its facilities, including a farmhouse with a kitchen, an outdoor classroom, and additional social spaces, further enhancing its role as a hub for sustainable living and community interaction.
