Terry Hie Hie picnic area serves as an excellent starting point to explore the rich Aboriginal heritage of the region. The area features interpretative signage that introduces visitors to significant Aboriginal sites, including a ceremonial corroboree ground and a memorial to local elder Lou Swan. Nearby, visitors can find carved and scarred trees, as well as axe-grinding grooves. The picnic area offers shelter and basic facilities, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch. In spring, the area blooms with wildflowers like lomandra and dianellas, and a bush tucker garden ripens for harvest. Birdwatching enthusiasts can enjoy observing numerous species overhead and nesting in surrounding trees. Please note that rainwater is available but should be treated or boiled before drinking. Mobile reception is limited in this park.
